Accurate Warehouse Inventory Counting Services with Minimal Disruption
H and M Services helps warehouse managers achieve accurate, reliable inventory counts by tackling the issues that cause the most headaches. Our experienced team identifies and resolves discrepancies between ERP/WMS records and physical stock, ensuring your system data reflects reality.
We reduce the risk of miscounts caused by human error—particularly in high-SKU environments—through proven counting methods and double-check processes. H and M Services inventory counts integrate into a variety of ERPs including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and Manhattan WMS. Our data is compatiable with the most common ERP systems and will not have to be manually keyed in by your staff. We can customize our data file so it can be uploaded to any software.
Our auditors are trained to spot improper labeling or barcoding that leads to misidentification, and we carefully separate and verify mixed SKUs that may be stored in the same bin or pallet. By addressing these common problem areas, H and M Services gives managers confidence in their numbers and the insight they need to run efficient, accountable operations.
Third-Party Accuracy Backed by SOC 2 Certification
At H and M Services, impartiality is at the core of our inventory services. As a third-party provider, we bring independence and objectivity to every count, ensuring results are accurate and free from internal bias or pressure. Because we are SOC 2 certified, you can trust that our processes meet rigorous standards for reliability, security, and accountability. This combination of impartial expertise and certified practices gives business owners, auditors, and stakeholders the confidence that discrepancies, shrink, or fraud are being identified with complete transparency.

Better Inventory Data Supports Leaner Warehouse Operations
Lean manufacturing and warehouse operations depend on having the right materials in the right place at the right time. That requires reliable inventory information. When inventory records do not match what is actually on the floor, production can be delayed, employees may waste time searching for materials, purchasing decisions can be affected, and manufacturers may even face a line-down situation because needed inventory is not actually available.
Accurate physical inventory counts give managers better information for purchasing, production planning, replenishment, order fulfillment, and other operational decisions. Comparing physical inventory with ERP or inventory-management records can also uncover discrepancies and help identify problems such as misplaced materials, receiving errors, picking mistakes, or inaccurate transactions.
That makes inventory accuracy an important part of a lean philosophy. Lean operations focus on reducing waste, improving flow, and making better use of resources, and those goals are difficult to achieve when decisions are based on unreliable inventory data. H and M Services provides professional inventory counting services that help warehouses and manufacturers establish a more accurate picture of the inventory they actually have.
Warehouse Inventory Counting Options
Every warehouse has different inventory needs. H and M Services can perform wall-to-wall, partial, and cycle counts, allowing your inventory program to match your operational requirements, reporting needs, and schedule.
Using a Third 3rd party reduces impact on existing staff
H and M Services provides third party counting services that helps warehouse managers maintain accuracy without bringing operations to a standstill. We structure counts to minimize disruption, scheduling them so inbound and outbound shipments don’t have to be paused unnecessarily and orders keep flowing. Our team understands the pressure delays can put on picking, packing, and shipping, so we work efficiently and with precision to reduce downtime. Whether you need cycle counts or a full physical inventory, we help you manage the timing and process so accuracy improves while productivity stays on track.

Wall-to-Wall Inventory Counts
A wall-to-wall count provides a complete physical inventory of materials and products throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, MRO inventory, production areas, staging locations, and other storage areas. These counts are commonly performed for accurate financial reporting, year-end inventory, audits, ownership changes, ERP reconciliation, or when a manufacturer needs to establish a reliable inventory baseline. Production activity may be paused or carefully controlled while the count is completed.
Partial Inventory Counts
Partial counts focus on selected areas or inventory rather than the entire facility. This may include a specific production line, department, material category, storage area, staging location, or group of SKUs.
Partial counts can help investigate discrepancies, verify targeted inventory, or provide needed inventory information while minimizing disruption to production.
This approach is especially useful when a full facility count is unnecessary or impractical.
Cycle Counting
Cycle counting uses recurring partial counts to help maintain inventory accuracy throughout the year. Instead of counting the entire facility at one time, selected groups of inventory are counted on a scheduled basis. High-value, fast-moving, or production-critical materials may be counted more frequently, while lower-priority inventory is counted less often. This approach can help identify discrepancies sooner, support more reliable production planning, and reduce the risk of unexpected shortages that can contribute to line-down situations.
